Welsh Dreams Under a Riviera Sky
Four nights dinner, bed & breakfast staying at the Royal Victoria Llanberis
Day 1 – Once we have collected all passengers from their agreed pick up point we will make our way to the Royal Victoria hotel. We will have suitable comfort breaks along the way.
Day 2 – Following breakfast we make our way to Caernarfon Castle. Dating back to 1283 the castle locally known as the Eagle’s Tower is where King Charles was named the Prince of Wales with a ceremony in the castle. Climb the towers for a stunning view or visit the museum of the oldest regiments within the British Army – the Royal Welch Fusiliers Regiment. This afternoon you are free to explore the medieval town of Caernarfon. Immerse yourself in the history and culture of the town all surrounded by picturesque views of the Welsh countryside.
Day 3 – Today we enter the world of Portmeirion with a private tour of fanciful colourful buildings with an Italian influence. Learn the history of the village created by welsh architect Sir Clough Willaims – Ellis in 1925. The weird but wonderful seaside resort feels more like a stage set than an actual village.
After time to explore the resort we will return to Llanberis. Sat in Snowdonia National Park Llanberis is a popular tourist destination. With a wealth of attractions, eateries and shops it is easy to see why people flock back year after year.
Day 4 – We take to the water this morning as we cruise through Conwys Waterways. The cruise offers a front row seat to the wildlife of the area. Perhaps you will catch a glimpse of herons, oystercatchers, cormorants and swans during our 30 minute sailing. This afternoon we head to the Penderyn Llanduno Distillery. Set in an 18th Century boarding school we will learn all about the distilling process of Welsh Whisky. Once we have completed our tour there will be chance for a sample or two.
Day 5 –
Today we leave Wales behind and make our way back to Lincolnshire with suitable comfort stops along the way. We will drop all passengers at their original boarding points.
