Two nights dinner, bed & breakfast at the Holiday Inn Heathrow, Bath Road
Day 1- Once all passengers have been collected from their designated pick up points we will make our way to the Holiday Inn Heathrow. We will be calling at the city of Cambridge. Cambridge is a city full of history & culture. With free time to explore you may wish to take a Punt on the River Cam or visit one of the many museums. You will also find a wealth of shops, bars & restaurants in the city centre.
We will continue our journey to the hotel shortly after lunch (not provided), arriving in time for our evening meal.
Day 2 – After breakfast this morning we make our way to Buckingham Palace for the first of our Royal visits. Buckingham Palace was built as a large townhouse for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703. The townhouse was then acquired by King George III for Queen Charlotte. The Palace had three wings around a court yard erected in the 19th Century with the final wing being added in the late 19th/early 20th century. This latest wing is now home to the famous balcony, where the Royal family are seen on significant occasions. This afternoon we make our way to the Royal Mews. The Royal Mews are the home of the working stables of the royal family. It is the hub for all road travel arrangements of The King & his family. In the Royal Mews there are a large display of Royal carriages & other related items. The Royal Mews is a working part of Buckingham Palace & the day to day work of The King. We will return to the hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day 3 – This morning after breakfast our royal appointment is at Kensington Palace. Kensington Palace has been a residence of the royal family since the 17th Century. It is the current London home of the Prince & Princess of Wales, Duke & Duchess of Gloucester, Duke & Duchess of Kent & the Prince & Princess Michael of Kent. It has also been the home of Princess Diana and was the setting for the famous Martin Bashir interview. There is a café within the grounds for you to grab a spot of lunch (not provided) if you wish before we make our way back to Lincolnshire and your original boarding points.
